Sightseeing in the city of Jakarta
Mood:  bright

Before moving to Jakarta in 2015, I always felt excited every time I flew to the capital. Well because of my current status as a tourist. Want to play to the island of a thousand, want to try the Moringa crust, and so on.

But when it was really settled, living next to the Ciliwung River and the work routine was running, I forgot my first desire. That there is every weekend, I wake up late, lazy, then afternoon to the mall ... it seems like some Jakarta people who have been tired of working for a week.

There is sometimes a weekend / weekday not in Jakarta (read: traveling) but most of course just get boarding. I really thought that Jakarta could be the gate of Indonesian tourism. There should be lots of interesting things that can be tried / done if I want to go back to wearing my tourist glasses, as simple as going to fill Unilever shampoo or looking for used books to the Walnut Market.

This is important so that I don't feel bored in Jakarta to visit kapal168 and look for reasons to book tickets. Especially if by chance there are tourists here and ask for recommendations on tourist attractions. I was then confused also answered.

Therefore, I try to explore places that I think are quite interesting that can be done in Jakarta, whether it's for tourists or those who have been struggling with dust from the capital for decades.

Traveling in Jakarta, Come Here With All Family...

1. Old Town

Well .. at least somehow the old city is a historical place surrounded by many museums. Although this area is always hot and the crowd likes to make you tired, but at least this place always appears in the top row when someone asks "Where should I go to Jakarta?" If it is too hot (there are no trees for shelter in the empty), try to make a pretty cake at the Batavia cafe.

Actually, I think this place can be more interesting, of course. Now, there are rules that no longer do peddlers sell in restricted areas. In addition, this place is also suitable for people who are fond of Human Interest photos or Pre Wedding photos (eh there is still no?). If riding a bicycle already feels normal, try to glare at the number of dolls - clowns that are lined up and people dressed in strange invites us to take pictures to get money. The most exciting thing in my opinion is to answer the riddle why is there anyone who can sit on a stick?

From the center of the old city, don't forget to stop by Kali Besar behind him. Now it's fixed. The times are cleaner, made a place to sit, then there are some statues that at first I thought were real people. At first glance many think this is like Little Amsterdam / Venice. If for me, it's like Semarang Old City, which is identical with its colonial buildings. What do you think?

2. Sunda Kelapa

From this old city, you can live a little more to Sunda Kelapa. Sunda Kelapa Port is quite unique and interesting because it is a port of transport of goods that come and will go to all corners of the regions in Indonesia. All ships are still in the form of large wooden ships such as pinisi and the parking is tilted so it is very unique if you look at it. If you want more exciting, I suggest going on a boat trip with a rental fee of Rp.100,000 / ship can be for 6-7 people. Exciting too!

3.Monas

Although I have often seen this national monument on TV, magazines, etc. it certainly feels different if you see it directly. Until now, I haven't had the chance to go up to the National Monument. Just take a photo with the style of holding the peak of Monas from just a great distance. This place is also suitable for those who want to exercise in the morning because there are no vehicles around the monas.

But since the end of July there has been a free rental, 2 notes &. Just download the 2 notes & apps, then find a bicycle and unlock them yourself using the apps. How long you can use it. This is a trial for 3 months. So don't try it. Then the latest news is now there is also a free bicycle loan that only exchanges with KTP. Ohya there is also a special sports equipment rental weekend at the east entrance of Monas. But I haven't tried this yet, hhh...

4. Rofftop Bar

If everyday you are fed up getting stuck in the vortex of traffic, this time feel the pleasure of seeing a traffic jam from above aka hang out pretty at the Rooftop Bar. The night in Jakarta was beautiful because the lights were flickering and the Jakarta skyline was an anesthetizing sight. Some of my recommendations are SKYE, Cloud, Artotel and the most happening right now is Henshin at the westin hotel which is the highest across Jakarta.

5. Ancol

Well, who says Jakarta doesn't have a beach? In addition to the Thousand Islands, if you want to relax, try Ancol. Well, it's just normal, but it's good to get a breezy sea breeze while drinking coconut water. You can also try going up to the gondola, or if you have more time you can play Dufan. WARNING! don't ever go to Ancol if it's a weekend or holiday. Queued up and the traffic can feel the feeling of wanting to evaporate instantly.

6. Taman Mini Indonesia Indah

Can't / have time to go around Indonesia? Take it easy. You can start from visiting the Indonesian replica in Taman Mini Indonesia Indah. In this vast park, I recommend using an electric bicycle so I don't get tired and save time. anyways it's really fun to be able to race with my friends if you use this bike. Exciting!

7.  The Thousand Islands

Actually, even though I have moved Jakarta for 3 years, honestly I am a bit underestimated by the Thousand Islands, I have never been able to relax in NTT and Papua, which is clear, the beaches are clean, healthy coral reefs and still far from pollution. But after going to Tidung Island, right when I first arrived at the dermaganya, I became overwhelmed "Leh uga ya". Then I went biking to the Love Bridge, there I saw near the beach and the bridge, the big coral reefs. There I felt ashamed of never trying to explore the Thousand Islands.
